Wanting
to take advantage of our time on the East Coast, Irene (my girl friend),
Gossimer, and I planned a road trip through the New England States
around the end of our 1st year in Rochester.
We
started our vacation in Newport, Rhode Island which is the location of
several famous mansions of the old money tycoons of the past. From
there, we drove along Cape Cod to Provincetown, Massachusetts where we
spent the evening eating lobster and walking through the quaint downtown
streets. The next day, we found ourselves in Boston where we
visited many of the prominent sites including Fenway Park, Quincy
Market, the original "Cheers" bar, and Harvard Square.
Driving along the coast, we, then, headed to the beautiful state of
Maine. The highlight of these last two nights was our time in Bar
Harbor, Maine where we spent time observing the magnificent surroundings
of Acadia National Park.
